She earned her nursing certification in 1929 and entered the novitiate at Sacred Heart Convent in 1930. Sister M. Augustine administered to the sick for many years at Salve Regina in Denver, Colo., St. Joseph Hospital in Wellington, Texas, St. Mary-Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers, Ark., St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Miss., and the infirmary at Sacred Heart Convent. She retired in 1980.
Surviving: five adopted brothers, Frank Tomek of Largo, Fla., and Charlie, Clem, John and Eugene Tomek of Cameron; four adopted sisters, Mary Hall and Helen Sims of San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy Kincer of Wharton, Texas, and Rosalie Leonard of La Marque, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass: Sacred Heart Convent chapel. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
