Mary Emmaline Boring (spelled Emeline in her fathers Bible) was married four times. 1st marriage was to John Blair on Oct. 12, 1879 in Blount County, TN. 2nd marriage was on April 4, 1889 in Blount County, TN, to Gibbs Buchanan. Mary 3rd married Vance "Spud" Walker on Dec. 16, 1906 in Blount County, TN. Lastly, Mary was married to (4th) J. Thomas "Tom" McNeilly. Mary had no children with any of her husbands.

According to her fathers Bible records (which I have a copy of), she had two sons by his neighbor, Humes Isaac Farr, who married Sarah C. Blair on Nov. 17, 1879 in Blount County, TN.

Mary's first child was Anderson Franklin Boring (Farr in Isacc Preston Boring's Bible). He went by Frank Boring and was born on Feb. 2, 1878. Frank Boring died young, in 1890. I haven't been able to locate his burial place. But the neat thing is that a sample of Frank's handwriting is forever preserved in the Bible, where he signed his name.

Mary's second child, my great grandfather, was William Henry Boring. His birth is also recorded in Isaac Preston's Bible, and he is listed as a Farr. However, he went by Bill Boring. There is a link to both of her children on this site.
