Daughter of Eugene Winfield and Velda Liles Ackerly [sic] was born November 7, 1927, at Grand River, Ia., and died December 15, 1964 at Osceola at the age of 37 years, 1 month and 8 days. She lived most of her life in Clarke county and received her education in the Osceola schools. She was united in marriage to Wayne Smith on March 21, 1946 at Bethany, Mo. She later married Frank Goodrich. She leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter Mona Goodrich Eivins, her son-in-law Fred, two grandsons, Micheal [sic] and David; her mother, Velda McLaughlin; three brothers: Willard Ackerly [sic] of Booneville, Ia.; Garl McLaughlin of Iowa City, Ia., and Micheal [sic] McLaughlin of Osceola; three sisters-in-law, four nieces, her grandmother, Anna Liles, several aunts and uncles and a host of relatives and friends.
Rev. Earl Nelson conducted services Thursday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at Webster Funeral home. Burial was at Osceola.
