Easley, SC - Mamie Angel Edwards, 83. of 113 Summit Drive, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Yancey County, NC, a daughter of the late Mack and Maude Wilson Angel, she was a retired employee with Emb-Tex of Travelers Rest and was of the Church of God faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Joan Edwards of the home; three sisters, Kathleen Edwards of Erwin, TN, Pearl Ivey of Spanish Fort, AL, and Gwendolyn Gilstrap of Easley; two brothers, Bob Angel of Easley and Glen Angel of Fairview, NC; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Charles Ray Edwards of Liberty.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with Rev. Charlie Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
