Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Cleveland John Guidry, 87, who died November 1, 2014 at Acadia General Hospital.

Rev. Donald Popp, Sr. pastor of Believers Baptist Fellowship Church in Estherwood will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Abshire Cemetery.

Mr. Guidry was born in Lyons Point and resided in Crowley. He worked for the Louisiana Highway Department for 30 years as a surveyor. Cleveland was an avid fisherman, hunter and a master gardener. He will definitely be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane LeJeune Guidry of Crowley; two daughters, Vickie Guidry Schexnayder and her husband Randy of LeLeux, and Patricia Guidry of Crowley; two grandchildren, Wendall Schexnayder and his wife, Jessica of Lyons Point, and Sheree Schexnayder of LeLeux; and four great-grandchildren, Malia, Connor, Addison, and Asher Schexnayder.

Mr. Guidry is preceded in death by his parents, Mayo and Mathilde Pelly Guidry.
