He was born Oct. 18, 1970, in Franklin County to Leroy Stockton and Thelma Copening Stockton of Martinsville. His father preceded him in death.
He graduated from Martinsville High School and had been employed as a mechanic for 12 years.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Tyson M. Stockton of the home; two daughters, Alyshia Potter of Honolulu, Hawaii and Melia Stockton of the home; four sisters, Jacqueline Stockton, Luciana Turner, Denise Martin and Derelene Stockton, all of Martinsville; and four brothers, James Copening and Leroy D. Stockton, both of Martinsville, Gregory Copening and Marcus Stockton, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
