Mrs. Dorothy Ann Hendricks,
Charter Member of Davis Street Church,
Born In 1854
Mrs. Dorothy Ann Hendricks, 82, a Wapello county resident all her life, died at her home, 126 South Davis street, Saturday at 7:50 p.m.
She was the daughter of Samuel and Hester Randall and was born in Wapello county, January 14, 1854. She has lived in Ottumwa for the last forty-two years. She was married to William Hendricks, December 31, 1874. He preceded her in death January 10, 1933. She was a charter member of the Davis Street Christian church.
Surviving are three sons, Charles of Detroit, Mich., and Frank and Jesse, both of Ottumwa, three brothers, Jeff Randall and Charles Randall, both of Ottumwa, and John of Des Moines; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Chandler and Miss Nellie Hendricks, and one son, Samuel.
Short services were held at the residence, 1216 South Davis street, at 12:30 p.m. today and at 1 p.m. at the Davis Street Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Roy C. Leeds. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bernard, Earl, Harold, Will and Elmer Hendricks and Casper Cloyd.
