The daughter of Orin and Willie Mary Honeycutt Fewell, she was born October 25, 1919 in Tulia, TX. She was a medical clerk with North-West Texas Hospital in Amarillo in the labor and delivery department.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, taking nature walks, playing dominos,especially Texas "42", bird watching and music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Newman F. Nickell; step-father and step-mother, Lawrence and Luella Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Harlie and Lerline Fewell, sister and brother-in-law, Iva Christine and Jack Horn; grandson, Robert Lewis.
