Virginia Kathy Ann Long, 34, of North Vernon died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, at her home.
Funeral service will be at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev Gary R. Cunningham officiating. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Miss Long was a homemaker and a 1987 graduate of Jennings County High School. She enjoyed playing bingo at AMVETS Post 7 in North Vernon.
Born January 30, 1967, in Seymour, she was the daughter of James W. and Cleo Clayne Long of North Vernon.
Surviving with her parents are a stepson, Brent Jewell of North Vernon, step-granddaughter, Brittney Marie Jewell of North Vernon, two brothers, Thomas Ray Long of North Vernon and Jimmy Wayne Long of Versailles; three sisters, Debra Sue Miller of Columbus, Carolyn Sue Petro and Tina Marie Brown of North Vernon; and a companion, James W. Jewell, of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Long.
