Mr. Hawley was born at Arcadia March 24, 1892 to D.O. Hawley and Hallie Beagle Hawley. He grew up in this community and attended the Arcadia schools. He went to Gering July 28, 1928 where he entered the plumbing business. He retired in 1966.
He was a member of the Congregational Church of Arcadia. He was Past President of the WyoBraska Scout Council; a member of the Gering Odd Fellows and the Gering Lions Club, and was a past president and officer of the Master Plumbers Association of Nebraska.
He is survived by his widow; one brother, Kenneth and one sister, Mrs. Juanita Bonsall, both of Arcadia.
