Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rachel Atkinson Aesy; three sons, Edward Joseph Aesy, Emmitt Ellis Aesy, Jr., Charles Bernard Aesy, all of Roanoke; daughter, Drema Aesy Creasy, Roanoke; two brothers, John Richard Aesy, Roanoke; Joseph Peter Aesy, Mount Clemens, Michigan; two sisters, Miss Louise Aesy, Mrs. Josephine Aesy Thomas, Roanoke; five grandchildren.
A Liturgical Prayer Service will be 8 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elias Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas F. Shreve and the Rev. Assad Awad officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
