Amy was a friend of mine in elementary school. She moved to Helena in about 4th or 5th grade. Later, in high school, she was dating a very good friend of mine, although our schools were 30 miles apart.
One day, she was walking with some other teens in the Helena valley at N. Montana Ave and John G Mine Rd. when one of them pushed her into the path of an oncoming car. She was struck by the car and was critically injured. She died later that day. The young man who pushed her was convicted of negligent homicide. He claimed he did it as a joke. Witnesses disagreed.
