Ben F. Stone,88,of Woodlawn,died Thursday,March 30th,2006 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.He was born May 18th,1917,at Douglasville,Texas,a son of the late George W.Stone and Margaret Leonard Stone.He served in the Army during War World II as a tech sergeant.He was a retired carpenter.He was a member of the American Legion and attended the Baptist Church.He was also preceded in death by his wife,Jewel Frances Holderfield Stone,who died July 2cd,1994;five brothers,Roy Stone,Jim Stone,Charlie Stone,Bud Stone and Frank Stone;and two sisters,Ruby Johnson and Lorene Norton.Survivors include one son,Billy F. Stone of Woodlawn;one daughter Judy M Stone of Pine Bluff;one sister Louise Ashcraft of Pine Bluff;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Funeral Services were held at 2P.M. Saturday,April 1st,2006 at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Doney Blackerby officiating.Burial is in Rowell Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home at Rison
