James Ronald Apple, 77, of 715 Robinhood Rd. Reidsville, NC slipped peacefully into heaven on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 2, 2014 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late John E. and Nina Jackson Apple and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life. He was a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, a lifetime member of North Carolina Society of Surveyors, and was retired from the City of Reidsville as the city surveyor. A US Navy veteran, he attended Main St. United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Apple Miller and an infant daughter.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years: Sandra Moore Apple of the home, daughter: Lynn Apple Noetzel and husband Gilbert of Summerfiled, NC, granddaughter: Katie Noetzel,brother:Wayne Apple of Reidsville, NC, sister: Cathy Apple Stone of Reidsville, NC
The family would like to thank Dr. Mohamed and staff of the Cone Cancer Center, the staff of Annie Penn Hospital, the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County, and Dr. Stephen Knowlton and staff for their care and concern throughout Mr. Apple’s illness.
