MITCHELL CHILDS DIES IN MARYLAND
Mitchell CHILDS, 21, son of Mr. & Mrs. Howell CHILDS of Fairfield, died in Baltimore Maryland last Monday morning of flu-pneumonia. He was in Baltimore with his brother, Travis and family. Skilled physicians and nurses waited on
him and no effort was spared to save is life.
The remains, accompanied by Travis, arrived here Wednesday night. Burial was in the Fairfield Cemetery Thursday afternoon following impressive services at the
First Baptist Church by Revs H. L. MCKISSICK and I. O. DENT. A very touching and impressive part of the service was the address of Rev. Lafayette CHILDS, and young minister and brother of Mitchell. Deceased leaves a father and mother, a sister, Mary Lou of Fairfield, three brothers, Rev. Lafayette CHILDS and Leon CHILDS of Fort Worth and Travis CHILDS of Baltimore, also a large
number of other relatives. Quite a number of relatives from out of town were here to attend the services, was Miss Mary WILLHOUSE, of Texas City, to whom Mitchell was engaged, her sister, Miss Edith WILLHOUSE and Mr. B. A. HUDSON
also of Texas City.
