Mrs. Katherine (O'Connor) Adams, 85, formerly of Riverton, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1978, at the Haven Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. James Church, Riverton.
Born in Riverton, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of John and Kate McAndrew O'Connor.
She was married to Harry L. Adams, September 1914, and he died Sept. 15, 1941.
A resident of Riverton for many years, Mrs. Adams taught in the Riverton schools for many years.
She was postmistress from 1918 until her retirement in 1931. Later, she was employed by the federal government resigning in 1945 to become cashier and clerk for the Village of Riverton, a position she held for 15 years.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and sisters.
Services were at St. James Church, Riverton.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
