Phyllis L (Arbogast) Hansen died October 12, 2014 at Alpine Way Continuing Care Community. She was born in February 1929 to Clarence and Lucille (Burks) Arbogast in Pasco. She was married to Robert Dougan until his death. She was then married to LaVerne Hansen until his death. She worked as a secretary at ITT Rayonier, Mountain View Elementary School, and the Garrett Heyns Education Center in the Washington Corrections Center. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing video games. She attended the Tuesday Morning Casino Breakfast Club and the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and was a member of the Daughters of Pioneers of Mason County. Phyllis is survived by daughters Karen (Dennis) Blyth of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Robyn (Scott) Lockwood of Shelton; her sister Chloe Palmer of Shelton; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life was Oct 25 at Island Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any organization researching Parkinson's disease.
