He tried his hand at opening a cigar shop/confectionary store. Eventually he returned to carpentry and settled his family in Brockport, NY. He was a hard working man who taught my grandfather the value of a job well-done.
George spent his final years at home suffering with the effects of dementia (now believed to be Alzheimer's disease).
