Believed to be Mary Cawtherne who married James Allison at Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, England, Nov. 29, 1829. Also said to be Mary Colton, but no such marriage found in church records. Both may be correct if Mary was previously married to a Cawtherne. Known children were Jemima, Elizabeth, George, Sarah Ann, Jane and Mary. First four children were baptized at Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire. Only Jemima, George, and Jane are known to have survived to immigrate to Canada. Mary died of consumption at Coopen Bewley near Billingham, County Durham.
