PALESTINE - Services for Johnnie Doris Deel McIver, 87, Palestine, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home chapel, Palestine, with Brother Edward Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery.
Mrs. McIver died Aug. 16, 2007, in a Palestine nursing home.
She was born June 22, 1920, in Anderson County to the late John Henry and Annie Mae Hutchinson Thompson and was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and member of Sheridan Terrace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Giles Deel and Vernon Odell McIver; grandson, Jerry Lee Deel; great-grandson, Christopher Douglas Frazier; and sisters, Eula Mae Henry, Lena Mae Fiesler, Mozelle Wilson and Lois Handorf.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Schmid, Palestine, Bobbie Charles Deel, Hobart, Okla., Walter Eugene Deel, Tyler, Mildred Elaine Curry and James Gerald Deel, both of Palestine; stepson, Samuel "Buddy" Deel, Weatherford; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Danny Price, John Curry, Samuel Deel, David Deel, Robert Deel, Corey Frazier, Matt Morris, Justin Morris, Josh Morris, Trey LeMon, James Michael LeMon, Tyler Price and Ben Price.
