Mrs. Elry Hall, a well known and respected resident of Sycamore for over 40 years, passed from this life at her home on West State street at about 3 o'clock this Tuesday morning, May 10. She had been in poor health for several years and the last few weeks had failed rapidly.

Erma Warne-Hall was a daughter of John Warne, a pioneer and prominent citizen of Elburn, Kane county, Ill. There the daughter was born 70 years ago May 2 and there she grew to womanhood. In 1877 she was married to Elry Hall, who had been station agent at Elburn, and in 1876 became station agent at Sycamore to which place he brought his bride immediately after their marriage. Mr. Hall continued as agent here for 24 years. Later he became principal owner and manager of the Sycamore electric light plant, and then was engaged for a few years as a dealer in footwear until his death, which occurred on September 5, 1909.

To Mr. and Mrs. Hall were born two daughters. Harriet Olive, the eldest, died December 5, 1910, in her 27th year, only a little over a year after the death of her father. There is surviving only the daughter, Imo, wife of John Adee of Sycamore, Mrs. Hall also leaves surviving her sisters, Mrs. Mathewson and Miss Mary Warne.

Mrs. Hall was an active member of the Universalist church and a member of the Sycamore. Woman's club. She was a good mother, a thorough and efficient home-maker, a kind neighbor and friend and generous to all who needed her assistance. Many friends deeply mourn her death.

The funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late home, Rev. N. E. Spicer, pastor of the Universalist church officiating. The interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
