Casimir Hybki, Jr.

Major Casimir "Ky" Hybki, Jr., 67, U.S.A.F. (retired), formerly of Peru, died unexpectedly Sept. 30 in his home in Wichita, Kan.

Services were held Oct. 5 in the Church of the Magdalen with the Rev. John Dinan officiating. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Wichita. Pallbearers were Bob Berry, Gerald Gearhart, Blair Page, Dale Burgess, Francis Driscoll and Harold Garrett. Full military rites were performed by the McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita.

Major Hybki was a graduate of La Salle-Peru High School and LPO Junior Clooege. He received a bachelor of science and master of arts degrees from the University of Maryland. He received a doctor of philosophy degree from Kansas State University in 1979. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 as an aviation cadet and commissioned a second lieutenant in 1943. He retired in 1965 with the rank of major as a command pilot. He was a veteran of World War ll, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired from the Public Health Department in Wichita in 1982.

He is survived by one son, Robert Hybki of Chino Hills, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Behrens V. (Barbara) Rossberg, Sharon Hybki of Buena Park, Calif. and Mrs. Eric (Beth) Longdon of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Floyd and Leonard of Peru; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Frances) Ziegler of Henry and Mrs. Frank (Rosemary) Biagi of Hennepin,
