Obituary for Anthony Barber
Anthony Michael Barber, 67, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2014, at his residence. He worked at Pet Dairy for 14 years as a pasteurizer. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Mr. Barber was a gentle and humble man who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of his heart. He was the best Daddy in the whole world. Mr. Barber enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. His wife, his daughters, and his grandchildren gave him the most enjoyment in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Virginia Barber, two sisters, Mary Anne Barber and Francis Catherine Barber, and an uncle, Tom Barber

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wanda Vaughn Barber of the home; his three girls, Jody Barber and friend, Larry Crawley, Susan Holton and husband Franklin; and Tracy Riordan and husband Brian; two sisters, Bonnie Baker and husband Wayne and Rita Bellamy and husband Jess; three brothers, Art Barber and wife Linda, Matt Barber and wife Dinah, and Rex Barber and wife Sandy; grandchildren, Jeffery Barber and wife Heather, Katherine Burke, Addison Holton, Ethan Holton, Rachel Riordan, and Benjamin Riordan; great-grandchild, Harriet Barber. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Anthony Michael Barber will be conducted at 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Alvin Goins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till the service hour. Friends may also call at the residence at any time. A Graveside and Committal service will be held Monday, October 27, 2014, at 11:00 AM in Oak Hill Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be Brian Riordan, Jeffery Barber, Franklin Holton, Larry Crawley, Rex Barber, Jody Barber, Susan Holton, and Tracy Riordan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Art Barber and Matt Barber.
