Avis L. Poljak age 98 passed away on Oct. 4, 2014 at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in Naperville, IL following a short illness. She was born in Viroqua, WI on December 24, 1915 to Van C. and Mary (Waterman) Morrison and graduated from Viroqua High School in 1933. She married Paul Poljak and they lived most of their lives in Downers Grove. Paul died August 15, 1985. Avis is survived by 2 daughters Linda (Doug) Heisner, their children Tracy (Karen), Kevin and Brian (Natalie) Heisner and their grandchildren Devin, Ryan, Mackenzi and Zachary. Also Patricia (Myron) Hoffman, their children Heidi, Eric and Kristina, and their several grandchildren. Avis was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Leola "Odie" Vione Dregne and a brother Charles Clair Morrison. Avis was a home maker who loved her family, flowers, sewing and needlepoint and a devoted "cubs" fan. Visitation will be Thursday October 9, 2014 from 10am until Services 11am interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery Darien, IL.
