Age 94, native of Hot Springs, died Thursday; daughter of John Alexander McTigrit and Eva Mae Rowell McTigrit; graduated Hot Springs HS in 1936; retired homemaker; very involved member of numerous local civic clubs; member of Grand Avenue Methodist Church.
Predeceased by parents, husbands Benjamin Hobson Burns of fifty five years and Ishmael Stivers of ten years, daughter Nancy Gail Burns Brake, four sisters, and three brothers.
Survivors include three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bernice and Ish Stivers Scholarship Fund at National Park Community College, or The Salvation Army.
