He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne division and retired from Duke University Medical Center after 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willie Frances Futch.
Mr. Futch is survived by his wife, Ethelene Futch; a son, Ronnie Futch; daughters, Connie Daniels and husband, Steve, Bonnie Parrish and husband, Danny and Donna Richard and husband, Tony; brother, Levis Futch and wife, Shirley; sister, Lavera Allen; grandchildren, Linda Coon and husband, Jason, Leslie Beckwith, Lisa Jones and husband, Brian, Ryan Iglehart and wife, Amanda, Sam Parrish, Allie Parrish, Deseray Futch and Cassidy Futch; and great grandchildren, Aleigha Coon, Jordan Coon, Jayden Jones and Jayda Jones.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
