Ray R. Collins, 55, life resident of the Viola vicinity, died at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday night at the Moline Public Hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday. Mr. Collins, a farmer, died of pneumonia. He had been ill two weeks. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Viola United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. CW McCreight officiating. Friends may call at the McKnight Memorial Home in Alexis. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was born August 21, 1897, at Viola, a son of William and Anne Lucas Collins. He was educated in the Viola schools. Mr. Collins was a bachelor.
Surviving are his father, Viola; a sister, Miss May Collins of Oregon, IL; and a brother, Dean of Galesburg. His mother preceded him in death.
