Lara Barbara Keepei Lora Barbara Keepes, 97, died Thursday, July 31 at 3: IS p.m. at Wabash General Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1882, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Fearheiley Steckler. In 1908, she was married to Jacob Keepes, who preceded her in death. Surviving are four daughters: Lillian Wuertz, Valmeyer, IL; Margaret Rose, Mt. Carmel; Gertrude Keepes, Mt. Carmel; Helen Keepes, Mt. Carmel. One son, Jacob Keepes, Hampton, VA; 15 grandchildren, 24' greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren Mrs. Keepes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, six sisters, and two brothers.. Funeral services will be conducted Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Kenneth Schafer officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Cunningham Funeral Home. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. tonight Max Laa Max lau, 84, a resident of Monticello Nursing Home, died at 11:40 p.m. July 30 at Wabash General Hospital.
