Robert Sherman Taylor, son of Howard and Rosie Emmer Pitman Taylor, was born, March 19, 1930 in Tunas, Missouri. He departed this life, Monday, October 20, 2014, in Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-four years, seven months and one day. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Johnny, Clonnie, Lonnie, Lee and Rusty Taylor Survivors include seven children, Daran Taylor and wife Linda of Macks Creek, Missouri, Tina Kelley and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert Taylor and wife Shiloh of Monett, Missouri, Kim Taylor of Lebanon, Missouri, Jamie Taylor and wife Kristy of Richland, Missouri, John Taylor of Macks Creek, Missouri and Matthew Taylor and wife Tarah of Buffalo, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bethel Meads of Camdenton, Missouri and Bets Andelano of Marshfield, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bob was a life-long resident of the Tunas and Macks Creek area. He was a graduate of Tunas High School and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in various trades including small engines and heating and air conditioning. He was a man of man talents. His absolute favorite thing to do was fishing. He had a passion to be outdoors fishing and hunting. He was a great musician and played the mandolin. Spending time with his family brought him the most joy. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He touched many lives and his memory will linger on in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014 in A.B. Union Church, Tunas. Burial will follow in A.B. Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Thursday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
