Dorothy Tolbert Owen, 79, of Bagley, died Thursday Nov. 16, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with burial in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Don Graham will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Owen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandgrandmother and a member of New Temple Baptist Church in Bagley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Otis Owen.
She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Goodwin and her husband, Lecil of Bagley; son, W.O. Owen of Bagley; grandchildren, Lisa Owen Kilgore and her husband, Denny and Kirsti Goodwin Liber and her husband, Matt, all of Bagley, Matthew Goodwin and his wife, Amber of Trussville; great-grandchildren, Trevor Liber, Aidan Kilgore and Presley Goodwin; sister, Ortha Vickery of Brilliant; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
