Floyd Reuben Christensen, 82, died Wednesday June 21, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1989 at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Lynn Groe officiated.

He was born August 12, 1906 in Center Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to Andrew and Esther (Johnson) Christensen. He attended Waukon High School and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Illinois. He was an electrician and a member of St. John's Church. He lived most of his life in Allamakee County. Surviving are a daughter, Arletta Steinhorst of Bancroft, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a brother, Carl Christensen and a sister, Esther Hagemier, both of Waukon.

Preceding him in death were six sisters, Minnie, Johanna, Clara, Emma, Nellie, and Edna, and a brother, Arthur Christensen.
