She was a native of Montgomery County and a resident of Montgomery and Toombs counties. She was a retired nurse and a member of Alston Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: three daughters, Tommie W. James and Gail Blaxton, both of Lyons, and Metalis W. Joyner of Tybee Island; a son, Gary H. Wilson of Uvalda; three sisters, Lucille Johnson and Elease Johnson Davis, both of Alston, and Virginia Johnson Fountain of Mount Vernon; a brother, H.J. Johnson of Alston; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
