John B. (Jack) Kennedy, 73, of 2417 South 18th Street died in St. Elizabeth Hospital at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. He had been ill two weeks and a patient in the hospital 11 days.

He was a life resident of Lafayette and a pressman employed by the Haywood Tag Company for 35 years before his retirement in 1961. He was married to Josephine M. Roth at Toledo, Ohio in 1924.

Mr. Kennedy was a veteran of World War I with overseas service with the 4th Army Engineers and was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and American Legion Post 76 the latter in Delphi. A son John B. Jr. a bombardier in World War II was killed on a mission over Germany in 1945.
