Mrs. Lula Maxcy Harrison, who was reared in Itawamba County, was found dead in her apartment in New Orleans on Wednesday night, April 8, 1964. It was thought she had been dead several days and she was buried in New Orleans. Mrs. Harrison, who was 76 years old, was the daughter of the late Burt and Mary Maxcy, and taught in the schools of Itawamba County for a number of years. She left Itawamba County in 1917 or 1918, resided in Texas a few years where she taught at Bolton, and later lived in Atlanta, Ga., and New Orleans, La.

She is survived by three brothers, Eric? Maxcy, Irby Maxcy and Virge Maxcy of the eastern part of Itawamba County
