Evening Times; Cumberland, Maryland, Wednesday, February 16, 1944: “Leo Thomas Lawler, 64, husband of Mrs. Lillian Laing Lawler, this city, died suddenly in Baltimore this morning. A native of Elmira, N.Y., he was the son of the late Thomas and Hannah (Comerford) Lawler. Mr. Lawler formerly held the post of city electrician here and was engaged in the real estate business until 1929. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Other survivors include six children, Lt. Thomas Lawler, U. S. Army; Mary C., Lillian M., Francis, David and Albert Lawler and one sister, Miss Frances Lawler, Elmira, N. Y.
