Dorothy M. Amey, 94, died October 15, 2012, at Elderwood Nursing Facility in Waverly.
She was the oldest child of the late Fred and Linda Woodcock of Lockwood. She was born, raised, and lived in Lockwood, most of her life.
She was also predeceased by her husband, Harold Amey; her brothers, James, Richard, and George; and sister, Pauline Amey; and her son-in-law, Karl Bean.
She is survived by five children.....; one brother.....; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, special friend .....; along with special nieces....., plus several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
She worked at Youngstown Steel in Elmira for approximately ten years.
A time of gathering with family and friends will be from 10am to 11am, October 19, 2012 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 623 Broad St., Waverly. The celebration of her life will follow the visitation with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield honoring her memory at 11am.
Donations in her memory may be made to Lockwood Fire Department, PO Box 16, Lockwood, New York 14859.
Burial will be in Chemung Cemetery, Chemung.
