Elizabeth Kay Dowell, 56, of Paris died after an illness Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at her residence.
Her body was cremated.
A memorial visitation is planned at 1 p.m. Sunday at her home.
McEvoy Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Born July 15, 1958, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late David J. and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Wofford.
A family member said she had a natural ability to reach out and to take care of children or anyone who had a need.
She leaves five daughters: Mary Webb, Kayla Dowell, Abby Jackson and Alison Johnson, all of Paris, and Dana Hill of New Mexico; two sons: Eddie Hixson and Alex Johnson, both of Paris; one sister: Elsie Parker of North Carolina;
Fifteen grandchildren: Courtney Teague, Page Farmer, Hailey, Hayden, Bryce and Waverly Hixson, Montana, Terrilyn, Monte and Silas Jackson, J’Lyne Tharpe and Ross, Reese, Mica and Savanaha Hill; her companion: Tony Johnson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and several special friends, including: Monica Brogdon, Angie Lee and Teresa Elkins.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Carolyn Wofford in infancy; a brother: David Lee Wofford; and a grandchild: Tarrence Jackson.
