LEXINGTON - Mr. S.B. "Todd" Areheart, 99, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Oakleaf Village of Lexington. He was the son of the late George Calvin Areheart and Willie Eva Kleckley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester Allen Areheart and Robert T. Areheart. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Kleckley Areheart, of 73 years; daughter, Brenda Smith; two grandchildren, Wendy (Roscoe) Nesmith and Duane Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and George Nesmith.
He was born in Lexington County on February 7, 1915 and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his old tractors, and working the family farm raising crops, timber, and cattle. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed piddling in his shop or resting a spell in a rocking chair on his front porch chatting with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexingaton, SC 29072. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
