Elza B. Findley, 89, passed away Jan. 20, at Akron City Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Jonesboro, Ark., and had been an Akron resident for many years. Mr. Findley retired in 1961 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., was a member of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church, Goodyear 25-Year Club, and Foreman's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; daughters and sons-in-law, June and Charles Coleman of Cuyahoga Falls, June and Harold Christner of Tallmadge, Waldene Mazak of Akron and Twyla and David Wagner of Akron; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Hugh and Austin; sisters, Sylvia Froemsdorf and Jessie Halton, all of Jonesboro, Ark.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 23, 1986, 11 a.m., at Goodyear Heights Baptist Church, with Dr. Edward Peirce and Rev. Douglas Manson officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls. Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Adams Funeral Home, and at the Church one hour prior to service. (Adams, 535-9186.)
