Funeral services for Richard Herman Mielsch, 70, of Needville were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Garmany & Co. Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg with the Rev. Norman Garrett officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Mielsch died April 17 in Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton. A native of East Bernard, he has resided in Fort Bend County since 1944. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Needville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Mielsch; a daughter, Mrs. L.C. Janik of Lake Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Boysen of Houston, Mrs. Mary Shamblin of Dallas and Mrs. Hilda Snyder of Bay City; two brothers, Fred Mielsch and Paul Mielsch, both of Bay City; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gilbert Walzel, Robert Schimara, Edward Stavinoha, Eric Bremer, James Graeber and Johnnie Bergen.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.
