Aaron H. Glidewell, 78, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 11:06 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

He was born on July 9, 1936 in Quincy, IL to Aaron G. & Emily M. Hopper Glidewell. He married Yvonne M. Logan on September 29, 1957 in Donnellson, IA. He worked for the railroad for a few years and then was a driver for Raid Quarries and later for Cessford Quarries. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, his motorcycle and his dog, Suzie Q.

Aaron is survived by: his wife, one daughter, one son, 4 grandchildren, and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and David Lynch.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 with the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening all at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Mike McHugh officiating. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
