Marjorie R. Potter, 98, of Franklin Street passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, March 6, 2008. She was born Dec. 4, 1909, in Warren Center, Pa., a daughter of Robert Bruce and Mae Holmes Rockefeller. Marjorie was the wife of the late Rowland W. Potter, who passed in 1993. She was a charter member of the First Christian Church of Montoursville. Marjorie enjoyed her family, crocheting, knitting and watching her favorite athlete, Tiger Woods, on TV. She is survived by two sons, Walter B. (Nancy) of Wyalusing, Pa., and Robert I. of Arden, N.C.; a daughter, Phyllis E. Thomas of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Marjorie was predeceased by two brothers, Mervin and Robert Rockefeller; a sister, Leola Jones; a grandson, Kevin Potter; and a son-in-law, Clinton Thomas. Relatives and friends are invited to Marjorie's Life Celebration memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at the First Christian Church of Montoursville with Preachers Daniel W. Nichols and Dale Anderson officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church, 5329 Lycoming Mall Road, Montoursville, Pa. 17754, or the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701. Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
