Jacob Parker was the son of Oliver and Charity Soule Parker, born in Plympton. He was the nephew
of John Avery Parker of New Bedford. Jacob married Lucy Dunbar who was born 18 Feb 1796 in Rochester, Ma. They were married on May 30, 1819 in the First Baptist Church of New Bedford. Jacob sold Du Pont gun powder from 1820-1836 and tools for the whaling industry, anchors, chains etc. Business addresses: 15 & 19 Centre St.
Jacob and Lucy had 8 children. They were my 3x great grandparents
Jacob and Lucy are buried in No. 8, Section W at Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
