Herman Lee Hahn, 85 of Cabot passed away on October 13, 2014 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice. Born April 2, 1929 in Meridian, PA, he was the son of Herman and Theresa Kaib Hahn. He worked as a Electrician for the US Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg where he was known as "Cheetah". He was a member of St. Joseph R. C. Church in Cabot where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the Parish Council and was active at the fall festivals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening traveling and for many years raised bassett hounds. Surviving are wife, Vera Jane Crummy Hahn whom he married July 24, 1950, his daughter, Eva Marie Hahn of Cabot, 2 sons, Gordon L. (Linda) Hahn of Valencia and Donald G. (Debbie) Hahn of North Carolina, and his grandson, Jason Jacobi, and granddaughter, Erica (Brian) Bishop of California. He is preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 2-6 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA. Services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 am at the St. Joseph R. C. Church, Cabot with Fr. Mark Pattock officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens. The family requests no flowers.
