B. Lorene JONES of Pontiac, died August 8, 2011 at 85 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Gordon W. Jones; loving mother of Kenneth (Teresa Clanton) Jones , Gary (Marilyn) Jones, Daniel (Sue) Jones and the late Corinne McGinnis; dearest grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 15. Also survived by her cat Muffy, special friend Harry Williams and best friend Muriel Phillips. Lorene was a graduate of Ortonville High School, she was a member of Community Presbyterian Church for over 55 years and was also the 2011 Presbyterian Woman of the Year. She enjoyed quilting, oil painting, making dolls, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and St. Joseph Hospital for 10 years in their nursery.
Visitation : Thursday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD.
Funeral Service :
Friday August 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church ( 4301 Monroe, Waterford). Pastor Thomas C. Hartley officiating. Burial at Ortonville Cemetery.
