Obituary.
Wilson Reed Allen was born in Milford Center, Union county, Ohio, Oct. 14 , 1831 , and lived there until the fall of 1847 when the family moved to Illinois, staying there until July, 1848, when he came to Iowa and entered land In Winneshiek county three miles west of Postvllle, where be resided until 1884. From there he moved to Austin, Minn., and lived there until his death, which occurred Jan. 4, 1903.

Sept. 30, 18S2, he was united in marriage to Emellne Noble. To them were born six chlldren, Kittie dying in infancy, four daughters and one son remaining, as follows: Mrs. Rose Bartholomew of Cresco, Iowa; Mrs. Daisy Richards of Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Jennie Cowan of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Frances Beedy of Postrllle, Iowa, and Charles F. Allen of Fayette, Iowa, all of whom were present.

Deceased was a member of tho M. E. church for tho past forty-soven years. The funeral services were held Jan, 8, 1903, at tlhe home ol Mrs. Beedy, conducted by Rev. Robinson. Interment
in tho Postville cemetery.
