Ruth Julia Peterman
PETERMAN, Ruth J. (Granny) Age 85, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Saturday, February 21, 1998 at a local nursing home. She was born in Bedford, Iowa, September 15, 1912 to Jess and Elnora C. Adams. On November 19, 1931 she married Finley Uri Peterman in Vancouver, Washington. They lived in Newberg, Oregon for many years before moving to Roseburg in 1986. Granny enjoyed gardening, seeing, baking, knitting and crocheting. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and granny. She will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include her sister Violet Rondeau of Walker, Missouri; five daughters, Marian L. Crease and husband Vernon of Roseburg; Virginia R. William and husband Clarence of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Donna L. Gibson and husband Ken of Deming, New Mexico and Carol A. Justice husband Bill of Little Rock, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Betty Ann and Dave McElmurry, Mike and Garilyn Creasey, Carolyn and Jim Norton, D'Lynn Wright, Susan and Ralph Gutierrez, Randy Russell, Gary and Terry Isham; 10 great-grandchildren, Scott and Billie Pryor, Bryan Creasey, Kilea Johnston, Angela Hunnicutt, Jamey Norton, Christina Wright, Carolyn, JJ and Lisa Isham and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Finley on September 6, 1989 and two brothers, Leland and Carl Adams. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. On Friday, February 27, 1998 at ATTRELL'S FUNERAL CHAPELS of Newberg, Oregon. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Park.
