Shirley was born February 19, 1949 to Paul and Vernetta Lane in Kansas City, Mo. She was a member of Nashua Baptist Church. She worked for Our Lady Of Mercy as the dietary manager. She had also worked at MidAmerica Cardiology as a records keeper. Shirley enjoyed life and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey Thomas Way; two brothers, James and Milton Lane; four sisters, Sylvia, Ellen, Mary Jane, and Paullittia Lane.
She is survived by two sisters, Joann Perry and Wanda Wells; and two brothers, Paul Lane, Jr. and George Lane.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Nashua Baptist Church, 11408 N. Main St., Kansas City, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
