She was born June 8, 1909 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Louis and Virgie (Beatty) Hollingsworth. She was one of nine children. She married George Wesley Asbery in Altus, Oklahoma in 1935. She was retired from the Fort Sill Credit Union.
