Esther C. Anderson, 91 of Kuna, died on Feb. 22, 1999, at a Nampa care center. Esther Cooke Anderson was born on Aug. 21, 1907 at Grouse Creek, UT, the daughter of George S. and Sarah Ruth Mecham Cooke.
She married John Frank Anderson on Nov. 30, 1927, in the Salt Lake City, UT LDS Temple.
They farmed in Tremonton and Corinne, UT until 1946, when they moved to Nampa and farmed. In 1974, they moved to Kuna.
Her husband preceded her in death in July of 1987.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had been active in the Relief Society, Primary and Mutual.
Esther is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wesley D. and Alta Anderson of Nampa, ID; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Gene Taylor of Kuna, ID; and Jane and Everett Pardew of Declo, ID; eleven grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sarah Howell of Portage, UT; Louie Stokes of Tremonton, UT; and Mary Forsgren of Layton, UT.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Funeral services are Feb. 25, 1999, at the Kuna Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; Bishop Cory Keller will officiate. Burial will follow at the Kuna Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
